We care for the environment
There is no doubt that the whole world is facing some serious environmental challenges that demand great attention. Especially the discharge of CO2 may cause huge consequences for the planet and its population provided the development will not turn. We want to contribute turning the development. We therefore continuously work on even more environmentally compatible products that are recyclable or biodegradable giving the consumer even more products to choose. In excess of that we work continuously on improvement of the manufacture of our products to obtain the best possible environmentally compatible production.
Product Development
We want to protect the environment and give focus to the manufacture of environmentally compatible products where possible and where the market and the customers want it. Our most important product material is bamboo but we are also in a position to deliver products of different materials and product types.
Bamboo
The reason for we have put focus on products made of bamboo is the fact that bamboo is a very environmentally compatible raw material. First, the bamboo plant is one of the fastest growing plants in the world. Secondly, the bamboo plant absorbs huge amounts of CO2 and produces 35% more oxygen than trees. Thirdly, the bamboo plant is incredibly robust and demands no pesticides to grow. Products made of bamboo are therefore good for the environment.*Our bamboo products are made of bamboo fibres which are organically grown without any use of fertilisers and pesticides. The material is therefore totally biodegradable. All bamboo materials being used in our products are approved by Øko-Tex and OCIA, who guarantee that the product does not contain unhealthy or environmentally harming substances.
Trustworthy Testing
Furthermore we always choose to test our products according to the acknowledged standards on the market, like declaration of the Asthma-Allergy Association, the Nordic Eco label etc. This gives the consumer guarantee for that our products are safe in relation to health, environment and quality. The declaration of the Asthma-Allergy Association ensures that the risk for developing allergy is at a minimum when using the declared product. The Nordic Eco label ensures that our products are among the most environmentally compatible products in their category and we pay respect to the health of the consumer as well as our products are of the best quality.

Production
An important field where we can make a difference to the environment is in the production.
To push the production in a more environmentally compatible direction it is fully vital that our suppliers are professionals and have the right mentality. We work a lot on the certification of companies to give ourselves as well as our surroundings an extra security for conditions being right at the factories. In this respect most of our suppliers are certified according to the ISO 9001. ISO 9001 is an approval of a company which can only be approved provided the company has a well-functioning management system with focus on quality, customer satisfaction and current improvement of their working performances.
Especially in relation to the environment we work with company approvals according to ISO 14001.To achieve a ISO14001 certificate the company is obliged to minimize any negative effect on the environment which is caused by the activities of the company. The company is furthermore obliged to improve its efforts towards a better environment. At the time being one third of our suppliers are certified according to ISO 14001, however, we work hard to get all our suppliers ISO 14001 certified within the very near future.
